Funny enough, I wasn’t the one asking the question this time. It was actually Joe Rogan and Bernie Sanders on the Joe Rogan podcast that dropped yesterday. And they actually even called it the trillion dollar question. What is life?
They got into it when talking about robots and about how robots are going to displace so many people over the next few years. And now all these people are going to lose their meaning of life because they didn’t know what the hell their lives were really about in the first place. So we need a more proper, better definition of what life is about so that we can then help them uh find that meaning again.
So this goes to show you how foundational and how unanswered this question still is, especially for the masses. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Right now, today, you’re in the right place at the right time because in this video, I’ll provide a proper answer to the question. And it’s going to be an answer that you’ll be able to verify for yourself within yourself and without anyone imposing their terms on you.
Okay, you’re you’re actually in good hands here. I wrote a book back in 2022 that you’d never guess what the title was. I’ll give you a second. Title of the book was Life, the Answer. And it actually took me about eight years to put this book together. It’s not a long book, but it did take a lot of thinking. So, I’ve kind of done my homework on it.
And you see what happens is that most people think that life is like is random, mysterious or spiritualized beyond understanding a situation uh that we can never put a pen on. But what if it’s actually structured? What if that structure is knowable?
What if life is structured
What if it’s not this vague unpredictable flow we’ve been taught to just survive through? What if it’s a system that we have simply never been shown?
Okay. And if we go back a week ago, I published a short video that explored precisely this question. We went over the question of what is a human life and the answer of it, not the meaning of uh what a human life is, just the raw structure of it. And if you haven’t watched the video, I highly recommend that you do. It’s just about 10 minutes and it should get your your mind going. But I’ll give you a quick recap here so we can keep on moving.
The 5 Steps of Life
So what we found is that life is a loop made of five steps that repeat continuously and they are inescapable for every human being.
- First you’re going to live experiences every single day of your life. You’re going to go through things whether you create those experiences or they come to you.
- You’re going to feel emotions, right? You’re going to be living through all this stuff. You’re going to feel a certain way about it.
- You’re going to be thinking. Okay? So you’re living through these experiences, you’re having all these emotions.
- You’re going to make decisions. Imagine you’re living through stuff, feeling stuff, thinking about all this stuff — you got to make some decisions at some point.
- You’re going to take actions. The difference between decisions and actions is that decisions are in your brain and actions are when you execute those decisions.
This cycle is always running whether you notice it or not. But once you do notice it, you will have the opportunity to shift some things.
The Structure of Life
Now that we’ve had time to absorb this structure, the next question comes pretty naturally: okay, cool. Now I know what this life is about. What do I do with that?
We are moving from a blurry, foggy type of world into a structured world. Right now we have a structure for what life is about. You realize that most people are trying to improve their lives without understanding how it actually works. They treat it like this unclear, untameable mystery. But it’s not a fog. It’s not unknowable.
It’s a process that continuously unfolds as it repeats. It’s a structure with inputs, processing, and outputs. The less you recognize that structure, the more it runs you.
Everything Will Change
You’re not a black box. You’re a set of beliefs, attention patterns, defaults, and habits. Thinking of yourself as mysterious is often a way to avoid responsibility.
Once you become aware of this process and internalize it as part of how you see your life, everything will change.
You won’t react to life the way you did before. You’ll realize that what you react to is what you think your experiences mean or what somebody else told you they mean.
The tiny gap between what happens and what you believe it to mean — that’s where your entire freedom lives.
As you internalize this, the loop gets tighter. You start noticing where your attention goes, the thoughts that come with it, the emotions you choose to accept or reject. You get to peek behind the curtain into how your identity forms.
Your Thoughts Are Architecture
Really, being aware of this process is your gateway to reality. You are what you repeat, and what you repeat becomes real.
Eventually, you realize that some beliefs you thought were private are visible. They leak through your tone, your pace, your relationships, your actions. Thoughts are not only thoughts — they are architecture.
That architecture exposes your priorities, fears, desires, and strengths. Your energy reveals them. What you use your energy on shows what runs in your mind.
That’s scary at first, but then you get a breakthrough. You accept the transparency. You accept your imperfections and let your light shine through.
Then you get another breakthrough: you realize you can often see it in others too. You see the cost of confusion — the weight of trying to move through life with no real structure. You see the vulnerability of not being aware of the process, the mistakes, the failures of judgment.
And you see that the remedy is introspection. It can only be manufactured from the inside.
The Cost of Confusion
As you keep practicing introspection and getting to know yourself better, you come to appreciate the simplicity of clarity. Not because it makes life easy, but because it makes life yours.
Clarity does have a cost. You can no longer pretend not to know. You can no longer shift responsibility.
Even though suffering exists, most of it doesn’t come from events. It comes from people operating a system they’ve never examined and don’t know how to use.
Tuning Your System
Once you see the structure of life, you can’t unsee it. You don’t need to fix everything. You just tune the system you already run.
Don’t overhaul your life. Don’t chase a 10-step plan.
Notice the loop — those five things you do every day. Notice the gap of freedom. Notice where your energy is going and point it where you want it to go.
As you start tuning your system, one thought at a time, one feeling at a time, one decision at a time, one action at a time, you keep tuning it. One day you’ll wake up and realize you’ve become the best version of yourself — the one you always wanted to be.
Closing
This is what you do with this invaluable knowledge. And don’t say it’s trivial — just yesterday Joe Rogan and Bernie Sanders were discussing it, and they didn’t have an answer.
So I hope this helps. If you liked it, share it with your friends.
